Pine Acres "Easter Weekend Extravaganza"

On Saturday April 15th, 2006 there will be tons of fun and games including the "Raw Egg Toss", the three legged race, an "Easter Bonnet Contest" in which there will be several categories (most original, tallest, most colorful, etc.) and lots of great prizes, it will truly be a wonderful, magical experience. On Sunday Morning there will be an early "Potluck Breakfast Buffet" at 9:00am with plenty of time after for you to make it to Easter Church Services if you wish to.  So this year plan to attend the 3rd Annual Pine Acres “Easter  Weekend Extravaganza".    Oh, I almost forgot, the Easter Bunny will be visiting and there will be an "Easter Egg Hunt" too. You won't want to miss this one, everyone will be talking about this event for a long time.  Each child should bring their own basket to collect eggs filled with candy and prizes and of course if you are attending the Potluck Breakfast you'll need to bring a dish for that, we'll cook the ham!

Trout Derby

On April 29th & 30th,  the19th Annual Trout Derby will be held.  It's one of the biggest Blue Lake events of the year.  The Trout Derby promotes family fishing by offering an inexpensive weekend of competitive sport fishing. We do our very best to make sure that each and every child receives a prize for participating in the derby.  The registered and qualifying adult participants are awarded a prize commensurate with their sport fishing expertise based on the total weight/amount of trout caught within the specified time period, yes there are trophies too.  If you have not given us your e-mail address, please get it to us soon so we can send reminders of these events to you.

Just a few of many testimonials:

"We just want you to know how much we have enjoyed staying at Pine Acres.  The adorable accommodations (complete with duck theme!)  The beautiful lake, the boats the swimming platform, the lawns and all the outside furniture and accessories added up to a great environment for a very refreshing family vacation."

" We are so happy that our friends recommended your place because  to us, it was like finding a treasure!  We hope to come back & maybe even bring some friends!  Thanks for the great service too.  God bless you!" The Isaacson Family 8-4-05

“This is just a quick note to thank you for your courtesy while we visited your park. It is so peaceful and quiet here that we have already made reservations for next year and feel this will probably be a park we return to on a yearly basis.

Further the clean family atmosphere and the gentle laughing of children make a wonderful place for we who are retired and away from our own grandchildren.

The other fact that impressed us is the number of people who we met who return year after year for the same reasons.

We wish you continued success with your lovely property”.  Frank Garrett

“Here is a picture of the family members that attended the Harold Southwick reunion on July 12, 13, 14 at Pine Acres Resort.  I think there were approximately 48 of us.

Everybody had a good time and your facilities, Staff, and cost was excellent and within budget for what we needed to have a successful reunion.

Thanks for your hospitality”.  Dave Southwick

“The Cub Scouts, Pack 142 from Lakeport had a great time! I have never personally been to Pine Acres and I thought it was a wonderful place to spend the day.  The fishing dock is big enough to accommodate a large number of people at once and the swimming area was great as well. The use of your clubhouse was very nice for us since we did have a large group.

We really appreciated your hospitality, and we will definitely be returning next year. Our scouts had a BLAST!!

Enclosed is a photo of our fishing derby.  Thank you once again. The Pine Acres Resort is a very nice place to be.

Thank You”.  Laurie Williams, Cub Master, Pack 142

“Peaceful atmosphere.  It’s a nice change of scenery from the noisy streets of the city”.  Rose, age 14

“Great weather.  Rope swings are fun!” Keegan, age 11

“Our stay was wonderful because we felt so welcome and safe. The guests treat each other with respect and quiet time really is QUIET!”  Kate, age unknown

“We like your resort very much and are telling everyone about it”. Grace Brown
